Miles4Migrants fundraiser

April 2021

Together with the Pre-Medical Club and Student United Way UMICH, we hosted a week-long campaign for Miles4Migrants, a nonprofit charity that uses donations to help people impacted by war, persecution, or disaster start a new beginning in a new home. They partner with other nonprofits to identify refugees, asylees, asylum-seekers, and their immediate family members who have legal approval to travel but cannot afford it and cover the cost of their airfare/travel. The goal for this fundraiser is ultimately to raise money and take the financial burden of airfare expenses off of people who desperately need to find a safer home.
